The road ends at Windy Ridge (yes, very windy there) and the first thing you notice is Sprit Lake. It’s about 1/3 full of thousands of dead trees. They (ranger) say the lake raised 200 feet because of the debris thrown in by the eruption. The light areas on the lake are all logs.
