Back at Jim’s house we cooked up a big slab of beef, added salad and ate until we were ready to pop. Then to top it off we had a few beers and smoked more cigars and told more stories (mine were all true.) ha ha. We all slept like rocks that night and were fresh the next morning…except for Jim. Jim needed two things but didn’t know it at the time. He need liquids and he needed to ride. This was the first morning Ronnie found music while riding. Jim had set him up with a mini disk player, amp, and headphones. This would change Ronnie for the rest of the trip. Our plan was to take Hwy 20 east over to Idaho. We went with plan B. In order to make up time we decided to take Hwy 90 east. Since this is a major Fwy we would be cursing high speed.
